Obviously Rocky could take a punch and had tremendous stamina.
But did Drago lose his edge? We saw him getting angry at his corner. Did he get tired of being used by his country?
One too many iron horse punches to the head. Rocky had a harder head than Apollo, and he was more motivated to win than Drago.

Drago punched himself out the first two rounds. His punches while still powerful in the later rounds, didn't have as much effect on Rocky as in the earlier rounds. In fact in the last round, Rocky just basically walked through Drago's punches and asked him to punch him. Conversely, Rocky had great stamina and determination. As the fight wore on, Drago started to feel the effect of Rocky's punches.

Drago said Rocky was like a piece of iron. It's very hard to beat iron.
