She had just watched Apollo get killed by that freak, and now the man she loved wanted to take him on! What should she have said,Yeah, honey, fighting that guy sounds like a great idea, go for it! I would have tried to talk my husband out of it too.

Trying to talk him out of it is one thing...straight up telling him he can't win is something else. At a time when Rocky needed encouragement from her more than anyone else, she basically emasculates him by telling him he has no chance to win against the Russian. Geez Adrian, where you been? This is the same guy that "couldn't win" against Apollo Creed and "couldn't win" against Clubber Lang. How about having a little bit of faith in your man for once?

shareI think Adrian was emotionally tired had been through enough of watching her husband almost get beaten to death three times. She was thinking about what was best for their family like she always did. As she said, there was no legitimate reason for Rocky to fight again since that had everything at this point. Think about your first time watching this movie, and how terrifying and scary it was to watch Apollo get killed. That's how Adrian felt.
