what happens to Daisy?

We're watching this movie in US History but I'm going to be gone for a week. I've already seen the part at Valley Forge where she *appears* to get sliced to bits by the British officer. Is that what really happens? (They haven't kissed yet, so I'm betting that's not the end of the story, but I could be wrong...)

not in the revisted version, i like it that way. it shows that life goes on even when our wishes do not come true

Daisy (Natassha Kinssnjki or whatever) looks like Jodhi May sorta in LOTM
