Revolution Revisited

Looking forward to seeing this!
Did anyone see it at it's Dublin Film Festival premiere?

Nothing else to add really, but felt it needed it's own topic.

I got this last weekend and really enjoyed it. They added a voice over by Al Pacino, which will help explain who, what and where this storyline is going. Extra scenes have been added, which help the film to flow more EASILY then the first edition. The DVD quality is first rate. I thought that it was a beatiful filmed when I saw it on VHS, man it a whole lot better now. Not the action film of the Patroit, but it's much better history flick and no super evil Brits either. Watch the documentry of Hugh Hudson and Pacino. It explains alot of what went down back in 1985 and Hudson gets to explain the headache of what it took to get this movie to film. If your a fan of Pacino, or enjoy a good drama wrap around history, buy it......

It's a shame they didn't dub Pacino & Kinski.

I just watched the DC version and enjoyed it considerably. I gave the original a very low rating but with this, I give it a 7/10 rating.

Is the documentary up on youtube or somewhere I can watch?

The thing that got me about this was Pacino. Such a 20th century New York Italian-American guy is ridiculous in the Revolutionary War. This would have been so much better with Harrison Ford or some other 80s actor who could pass for a real 1770s Colonial man of British descent.

That being said, if the movie was made today, the character would probably be played by Idris Elba.

I get you, I have a hard time seeing Pacino out of an urban setting however I thought he was really good in The Merchant of Venice so I guess it depends on the character.
