I reviewed both cuts (video link)

A once disliked epic may be enjoying a revival, and why:

I prefer the original cut, and hope it comes out on DVD in its original state.

Although I'm a big fan of the movie, my biggest gripe is Richard O'Brien, who plays an effeminate British villain. He's totally miscast and unnecessary in the movie. You can see my full gripe in another thread on this board. There is also a lot of campy dialog throughout, usually spoken by the extras. If you listen in headphones, you'll hear all of it!!

But most of all, REVOLUTION is a lost classic, and definitely worth revisiting.

I thought O'Brien was the best thing in it!

Brutally bad film, with Pacino being particularly woeful. What a turd of a performance from him.

I just watched the DC version, I no longer recall the Theatrical cut but just remember it was boring. I'll check your review.
