What if Conan and Kalidor met on the battle field?
Any thoughts as to what might happen? The outcome? I'm looking forward to reading all the possible scenarios, and I apologize in advance if this topic has already been addressed.

shareThey might turn up being brothers, and Kalidor was just taken to another slave camp. Then ala Sixth Day they would team up to go kick some ass on a real baddy.
But since the movie was a flop, Kalidor will probably never be seen again.
I only state my oppinions and want to know yours.
God Bless!
Actually I think its more like James Bond, how certain actors play defferent parts.
Arnolds,Sandahl,Sven Ole thorsen, and the Late Pat Roach all played different parts in all the RE Howard Movies!
Sides I always felt that Kalidor was Conan using a different name, like he did do in the books!
Where in Red Sonja was Sven Ole Thorsen and where was Sandahl Bergman in Conan the Destroyer then?
shareRed Sonja isnt really a REH work, but someone created by comic writer Roy Thomas.
Addressing the question though, Kalidor is a high priest or something(the reason he was coming to meet up with the chicks in the temple), and Conan is of course a barbarian through and through. If they were to battle eachother, Conan would definetely win because he is a warrior born on the battlefield who knows nothing else but war. You have to pick up the REH Conan books to really understand. Conan isn't just a dimwit muscleman. He has reflexes like a panther, agility like no other, keen senses, and fights with savage strength.
What Ide like to see is a Conan movie where he confronts Deathstalker and kills him outright.

Robert E. Howard created a character called Red Sonya (Sonya with a y, not a j), who only appeared in one story, which took place in the 1500s. In the 1970s, Marvel Comics was having success with Conan, so decided to try their hand at other Howard characters, such as Solomon Kane and Red Sonya...HOWEVER, they decided to take Howard's sword woman, revamp and relocate her so that she would be a contemporary of Conan. The film is more Marvel Comic than it is Robert E. Howard.
When the RED SONJA movie was first being put together, Arnold was supposed to have appeared in it as Conan. Because another studio owned the film rights to the character, the filmmakers had to make some revisions, and so Conan became Kalidor in the final screenplay.

Clarification regarding the character Red Sonya
To All Conan and Robert E. Howard Fans and Licensees:
It has come to our attention that there may be some Conan and Robert E. Howard fans or licensees who could be confused about the origins and ownership of Red Sonya (with a “y”) and Red Sonja (with a “j”) and their relationship to Hyboria. We don’t believe that there should be any such confusion and would like to do all that we can to clear up any that might exist.
The Red Sonya (with a “y”) character was created in 1934 by Robert E. Howard. Howard’s Red Sonya of Rogatino first appeared in the Howard story The Shadow of the Vulture. She was a 16th century Russian woman fighter who participated in the battle against the Turks in Vienna. She had absolutely nothing to do with Conan, or the Conan world of Hyboria.
The Red Sonja (with a “j”) character was created by Roy Thomas in 1974 and was set in Conan’s Hyborian Age. This Red Sonja was the heroine of the 1985 Film entitled Red Sonja and is featured in the current Dynamite Comic books.
Ownership of all Robert E. Howard characters, including Conan®, Kull®, Bran Mak Morn™, and Red Sonya™ (with a “y”) was acquired by either Paradox Entertainment, Inc. or by its affiliated company, Conan Properties International LLC, from the various entities which held the rights to the Howard characters and the derivative characters created over the years by such licensees as Marvel.
Red Sonja® (with a “j”) is owned by Red Sonja LLC which is not affiliated with either Paradox Entertainment, Inc., or Conan Properties International LLC.
Conan Properties International and Paradox Entertainment, Inc. own the copyrights and trademarks to the Robert E. Howard world of Hyboria™. Red Sonja LLC is a licensee of Paradox Entertainment, Inc. and Conan Properties International LLC and has been granted the non-exclusive right to use the Hyboria world and setting as the home for its Red Sonja character, but only in that context, as long as there is no use of the Conan character in connection with any use by Red Sonja LLC of its Red Sonja character.
At the moment neither Paradox Entertainment, Inc., nor Conan Properties International, LLC has any intention of using the Red Sonya (with a “y”) character in any stories set in Hyboria, or otherwise, nor has it granted any of its licensees permission to use the Red Sonya character. Anyone desiring to use the character Red Sonja® should observe the trademark of Red Sonja LLC in this respect and contact them.
If there is any remaining confusion about this issue, please bring it to our attention so that we may clear it up.

So Conan and Kalidor can meet on a battlefield as long as red sonja didn't show up, because that would cause a liscensing conflict, and the lawyers would have to meet up as well.
I smell the makings of an epic parody here.
I say Conan would thrall Kalidor into being his vassal... "Crom!" ~smacks Kalidor across the back of his head~ "Go polish my sword, whelp!" ... lol
No but seriously, it'd be a brutal fight with Conan coming out victorious at the end.
They'd laugh their Arnie laugh, light up cigars, compare bicep sizes and then get stoned together, before competing for the Govenorship of Cimmeria... Before having a torrid 3-way affair with the queen of Shadizar and failing to get re-elected.
Why do you ask? :-D

When they meet on the battlefeld, they would realize since the doctor that told them their mother had died in childbirth probably also lied to their mother as well as nothing was ever mentioned about a twin brother. So, they would embark on a journey to find her, learn to dance, and thwart an underworld trade while paying off some loan sharks.
"If Obama's policies worked... Chicago would be the safest city and Detroit would be the richest."
Then when there warrior careers are almost spent, they find out they have another brother called Eddie.
