What happened to Gedren's sidekick?

Right before the standoff between Sonja and Gedren, Gedren's sidekick goes into a room behind Gedren, and, as far as I can tell, we never see her again. Did I miss it, or what are we supposed to think happened to her? Did she escape or get buried under the palace, when it collapsed?

I am, of course, referring to the same girl who touched the Talisman at the beginning. We see her again in the scene mentioned above, but what was her fate?

Lara, Gedren's sidekick & handmaiden, was shown fleeing out of fear when Sonja approached for that final standoff. That room behind the queen's throne would have led to some "inner sanctum," and quite likely, an escape route.

She is sexy, but it is more possible that she is buried alive...
