Why Was Arnold Given Top Billing?

I find it funny that he is not the title character of the movie. "Red Sonja" played by Brigitte comes in second behind him.

Isn't it obvious? Conan the Barbarian came out 3 years earlier and Schwarzenegger was already a well known figure from his bodybuilding days. Brigitte Neilsen was a complete unknown and the marketers figured the best way to get people to pick up the videotape at the store is put Arnie on the cover.

The funny thing is that the movie is called "Kalidor" in France and some other countries. Thanks, marketing guys!...

Arnold was the biggest name in the cast(still is actually) so it made perfect sense to bill him first.
