No one mentioned this... I found many similarities between this film and "The White Sheik".
Given the artistic influence that Fellini had on Woody Allen, don't you think this is a real possibility? It certainly wouldn't be the only time!
No it wouldn't, bga18. In fact, the ending of the movie is creepily similar to Nights of Cabiria.
On top of that, I kept telling myself while watching the movie that Mia Farrow's performance seems an awful lot like Giulietta Masina. Ironically, Masina would play a character based on Ginger Rogers just a few years later. Strange parallels indeed...
Yes it is. . . I instantly thought of Nights of cabiria. . . both women have the same ending. . . abandoned and deceived, their future uncertain . . just like in real life.
