Ok when the scene when The Maestro thinks that Rob Marrow is the barber and lets him cuts his hair that Rob Marrow definitely screwed up. Why didn't The Maestro shave his head bald so that no one would know that he got a crappy haircut?
That is common sense right there! If I ever went to a barber who majorly screwed up my haircut I would ask the barber to shave my head bald so that I would not look like a fool!
I hate to say it but he looked like an idiot running around trying to cover up the haircut he received from Rob Marrow. What do you guys think?
The Maestro was an idiot. Shaving his head would've been the sensible thing to do but it would take away from the movie if he did that. Its much more funny to see him running around trying to cover up his bad haircut looking really stupid doing so.
Yes the Maestro was a idiot but it made it more comical though with him trying to hide his bad haircut. LOL Well if he had fixed up his hair then that would not have been comical at all to watch. So they made it a part of the movie that is hysterical to watch.
I'm not sure how old you are, but I do know that, not all that many decades ago, in at least some places if not all, the concept of a man shaving his head was pretty close to inconceivable. Telly Savalas and Yul Brinner aside, it just wasn't done. For a period, it was associated basically with extremist (i.e. skinheads, etc) and when it started to go 'mainstream', it was associated with projecting a tough persona. So, the conductor not thinking that shaving the rest wasn't an option isn't all that outlandish.
Alas., pendulums swing...I'm old enough to have gone through both "why can't those g-d*mned hippies get a haircut like normal people!" and "why can't those young men just grow a nice, soft head of hair like normal people!"
I am 39 years old and like you said when I was growing up there were not that many men shaving their heads bald at all. I remember watching Telly Savalas and Yul Brinner as a kid. There is Sid Haig who has done it a majority of his film career shaving his head, but he has always done that for the roles that he has done in film or TV shows to make himself look more intimidating. Trust me he does not have to do that at all to look more intimidating he already looks like that because I met him a couple of weeks ago at a convention. Ernie Hudson shaved his head on a episode of The Dukes Of Hazzard from what I can remember I believe for his role on the show.
Yes it has swung the pendulum because now a days more men are shaving their heads bald. I remember when Michael Jordan started in the NBA he had a full head of hair and then to give him that unique look he shaved his head bald.
Yea that was a character error for sure, not shaving his head. There was a huge plot hole towards the end, when the Maestro is chasing the 2 boys and shoots up the entire dining room and bar area. The cops show up a few minutes later and totally ignore the fact that the Maestro shot up the whole place. Just sloppy writing
