Great first half. Terrible second half.

Its classically funny for the first part of the movie, especially in the scene with Mickey the ex-con. After Pee Wee's encounter with the dead truck driver, Large Marge, the film changes tone and becomes slow and boring. I didn't laugh not once anymore. Just seemed like the movie ran out of gas at that point. My brother agreed and made a point that the earlier humor had been jammed too soon during the beginning and would've faired a lot better if were spread out more. Is anyone else on the same page with us?

Gotta disagree I always liked this movie a lot.

To me the highlight of this film was the bike chase towards the end, I always anticpated for that scene to arrive, I also loved the dream sequence with the devil and the evil clown doctors, I actually prefer the second half more than the first half.

I think it went off the rails when they entered the Warner Bros lot. Just got kinda cheesy and not terribly funny. A lot of comedies bungle their endings. Vacation and European Vacation are two other comedies that start out super strong and then shit the bed at the end.
