This is how you get people to believe in Xmas! *Spoilers*

KILL THEIR ENTIRE FAMILY

Right?

I mean, Santa was basically holding the dad hostage for the second half of the movie.

LOL!

I remember reading a spiritual proverb, it was about a man who must bring a giant stone up to the top of a hill to complete the building of the king's castle. He tries and tries to get the stone up the hill but the stone is just too heavy. The man says to the king "I can't do it, the stone is just too heavy." Finally the king says "Then break it to pieces. We can reassemble the pieces when you've brought them all up."

So in the proverb the stone represents the man's heart, and his task represents man's attempt to lift his heart to "God" (or in the case of this movie, the Christmas spirit).
Sometimes heartbreak (or "breaking the stone to pieces") facilitates profound transformation and is necessary to shatter the ice off a heart that has grown frozen.

I think this movie perfectly illustrates the way that heartbreak can be necessary and transformative.

Yes, because without death, no one would appreciate life.
Not to get religious, but it's why Jesus died on the cross.

Bruce Lee was real. Batman was never real.
