I watched this with a friend who is a meat eater and she flinched when the chicken's head was cut off. Yuk!

I know things have changed in 20 years and now they would probably be careful both to use a fake chicken and to say so. Also, Eric Stoltz is in the film and he is apparently now a vegetarian. But still!

Sean Cunningham also had a snake chopped up for real in Friday the 13th (1980). I guess he went to the Italian horror school of animal usage in film.
