Where were the parents?

Im not talking about the main characters parents im talking about the bullies parents. I mean really where were they in supervising their sadistic, drug slinging,dog fighting,group of sociopaths teenage sons?Dutra lived in a pretty big house in which I doubt he owned.Maybe his drug dealing was pretty lucrative where he could afford a home.However he was a minor right?Were they minors or were they 6 year seniors who just still like to hang around the high school terrorizing everyone?One had a little brother so someone had to be looking after them.There are still some questions unanswered.Their parents are very bad in parenting.I mean just look at their sons,they are doing every illegal act possible including trying to rape and kill people.And they are no where to be found or aware their sons are committing these acts.smh
