great film.I would take Bunny anyday.

Bunny is the woman you marry, Marilyn is the one you have a little fun with. The beautiful thing about it is that is exactly how both would want it, too. So everybody's happy.
I know this movie has its flaws but I really like it just the same. At the heart of why the movie works for me is that it HAS heart. It connects with me on an emotional level, even though some of the scenes are anything but realistic. It's an odd mix. It's so squeaky clean in some ways, yet it has nudity and swearing. Most peculiar, mama. Beautiful girls, young guys who are trying to become men, an atmosphere that breaks your heart it's so pure in some ways (actually I can't put my finger on what it is about the feel of the movie, but I do find it sad because I want to live in a world like that, a world that probably never even existed, the world of Happy Days *sigh*), and a good soundtrack. And I first watched it when I was a young guy trying to become a man. Unfortunately I'm still trying. Maybe someday.

Yes this writer agrees that Rosalie became a real looker towards the end of this film.
However,Catherine Mary Stewart's Bunny is just a real beauty in this film
from beginning to end...and not just in looks either;Bunny has a winning personality that along with her beauty makes her character a real charmer throughout this entire film.

I've always had a thing for Marilyn however as I get older I find my taste shifting a bit more towards Bunny, for whatever that's worth. I'll bet Bunny is better in bed too! Marilyn just laid there like a lump. Bunny looks like she'd be excited and really get into it.

The character of Marilyn had absolutely no depth. The screenwriter didn't explain why she went so quickly from liking Gene to liking Jonathan. Then he didn't explain why Jonathan was such a dick to her after they had sex. Just really terrible writing.

I never understood why Marilyn would continue to go out with Jonathan considering how horribly he treats her. He treats her as less of a human being and more like a sex toy. I mean he very nearly rapes her in the car and he's a prick to her in the sex scene. He doesn't feel any remorse in the fact that he might have impregnated her, instead he's more upset to find out she's not a virgin.
I agree with CBB Phil-2 and Jami is still hot today.
But i would take Marilyn over Bunny no doubt about it, i wasn't into Bunny at all.

I never understood why and how Marilyn would start to go out with Jonathan in the first place. No confidence, no looks. Not even academic record or nervous but sincere moves towards her like we see on most nerds.
