I think it's time to turn this classic into a live action film

I think it's time to bring the story called "THE LIFE AN ADVENTURES OF SANTA CLAUS", by the author who wrote the Wizard of oz, by L.Frank Baum. I know they made an animated verison some in the late 90's an the classic 70's an 80's claymation film, but I think it's time to bring this one classic story to life on the big screen. I think it would be great... The Great ack, or the master woodsman or young santa's teacher or mentor should be played by old time actor Christoper Lee. There's so much in this story about his origins, people don't even know about or prob never even picked up the book. I've read it an it was awesome. I think it's time for a big box office bugget verison to hit the big screen of this classic christmas story. Anyone else agree???

I'll agree to a live-action version of the story on 2 conditions:
1.) The film absolutely MUST have a professional cast and screenplay. They can bring in well-known actors if they can, and I wouldn't mind a few unknowns making thier debut here as well. I definetely like the idea of casting Christopher Lee as The Great Ak, so there's a start.
2.) I would like it to hold true to the original L. Frank Baum story. If they sugar-coat it, and make it into something absurdly silly I will definetely not be among the ones to see it (Not that I don't want any humor at all. I love to laugh at funny moments that fit in a movie's overall story. I just don't want too much of a good thing!).
If the film has both of these elements, I can see it being a sure-fire holiday blockbuster!

Tim Burton should direct. The story seems right up his alley, and you know he would cast Christopher Lee.

I've also wanted to see a live action film of this one. However, I never considered Christopher Lee for the Great Ak. It would be abreak from his usual villians.

If he wasn't avalaible I'd say Patrick Stewart for the roll.
