Could never make it again
This movie is incredibly beautiful.
I think the story, action and film as a whole are subpar because the filmmakers spent all their effort in making it stunning to look at. It truly looks amazing.
Could they make a movie that looks like this again? No chance in hell!
Like they won't hire 30.000 extras to shoot a mass scene Griffith style, today they would just use a computer to recreate all the light effects, refractions, particles, bubbles, etc that make this movie so awesome to watch.
Even the unicorns would be cgi now.
No need to explain the difference in outcome.
