Most generic 80s fantasy film?

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible. I gave it a 6. I was overall entertained but this movie felt like every 80s fantasy film rolled into one. All the cliches are there. A lot of fantasy stories have similar plots or ideas but this one felt especially simplistic. It's a very basic good vs. evil tale. I feel like it could have been a lot better with a slightly more complex story as I really enjoyed the visuals.

It actually is pretty complex, but they toned it down a lot. You can find earlier scripts online and the original story is much, much more lush. Don't get me wrong, I love the movie any way, but the earlier scripts/story would have been something to see.

Ladyhawke was way better than this. Legend in either version is quite bland. Everytime I see it, it just feels so unfinished or empty in certain spots.
