True love's eyes

This scene is so magical
If this movie was given credit it deserves I´m sure this will be a mark in movie history....

Ridley is always ahead of his time :D

The scene you're referring to is from the director's cut yes? It is quite a lovely scene as well as the song. Am I correct in thinking that is Mia Sara singing?

reply

In the movies yes she is singing
But not on the soundtrack album...

I´m European so our version had this scene in all along...in director´s cut it´s slightly more dramatic....

Beautiful scene

The version I grew up on never had this, was lucky enough to get both versions along with the original soundtrack as a gift a few years back. I can never decide which version I like best. Do you have any idea who is actually singing the song? I know the score is by Jerry goldsmith but something tells me he isn't singing here.

reply

Sorry if it´s not her I don´t know

Honestly my most favourite scene from this film....ans it´s thanks to the amazing music as well is this one

It´s probably my most favourite scene ever

When I listened to the other version of the second score I had to laugh :D :D :D

I've been trying to research who sings the song and no website wants to come out and say it, but the one I found says it's Lily singing, so until proven otherwise I'll say it is Mia Sara singing.

Ahh yes the seduction of Lily, the scene is quite haunting. And it definitely has something to do with the music.

Yeah whether you grew up on Tangerine Dream's score or on Jerry Goldsmith's, hearing the other is pretty shocking. It's pretty hard for me to decide which version I like better. Throughout the film itself I definitely prefer the European cut. However the opening sequence in the American cut, (shown below) music and text both I thought were wonderful and I couldn't believe were not in the European version. Also "Loved by the Sun" awesome song I was very disappointed not to hear during the original.

Either way, a film I have loved since 4 years old and always will.

It´s funny to hear this music

I cannot say how I would feel if I heard the Goldsmith´s score years later...I have no idea...but I prefer orchestral score than this kind of music...plus Goldsmith is just one of the biggest giants among movie composers....
I love his score for Legend...I was shocked when I learned about second score years ago...
I wa slike " WHY???? :D
