Scary??
Is this movie scary?
shareNo, it's mystery/suspense, not horror. The opening and ending scenes are a bit chilling, but that's about it. Like I said, it's not a horror movie.
shareJust at the beginning and the end.
I'm happiest...in the saddle.
I found the ending to be particularily scary. It builds up the same kind of unbearable tension the way the original Black Christmas did. I'm sure you would get creeped out watching it alone at nighttime.
shareYes, it was KINDA scary to me... but not TOO much b/c I can't really think of Jeff Bridges as a bad guy (like him too much)! LOL!
shareI find this movie deeply creepy. The killer isn't frothing at the mouth, he's just... I dunno, he reminds me of certain people I've met. And he looks like Jeff Bridges, sounds like Jeff Bridges, but there's something... yeah, it's creepy. They could do creepy *beep* back in the '80's.
shareThere's something about when you hear the glass break in the final scene that is absolutely chilling.
shareI'll have to say yes! But only in the beginning -- let's say the first 30 minutes or so. After that, it's not really so much scary as it is vulgar. A lot of foul language louses it up for me.
But, I actually didn't think the end was scary at all, but rather suspenseful. Which I prefer. Suspense rather than horror is a good thing when it comes to movie that's supposed to be a suspense thriller. But I have to admit, did the beginning of the movie is arguably more horror than thriller. It's just disgusting! So warning for that.
But, if you are a Glenn fan, I would recommend you watch it. Though, this is not one of her best movies.
Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
I think so, especially the ending. The first time I saw this great film back in 1986, I was 12 years old and the ending when the killer is coming to get her absolutely scared the sh** out of me, terrifying!!
