Robert Loggia

I liked Robert Loggia as the foul-mouthed investigator friend.

i just watched "Jagged Edge" tonite.
it was the third film today I've seen with the great Robert Loggia.

I wathche "Somebody up there likes Me" very early today and his affable performance in " BIG " with Tom Hanks.

He is one of many actors who simply do it well as a "character" other than leading man.

It's hard to believe how many great actors are 80 years old or better these days. Here are a few I greatly admire and miss due to retirement or lack of work.

Sean Connery
Gene Hackman
Michael Caine
Robert Duvall
Robert Loggia
Eli Wallach (95 years old)
Clint Eastwood
Peter O'Toole
Wilford Brimley

can you guys think of any others ?

cheers, Kevin

Harry Dean Stanton belongs on that honorable list.

I really enjoy his work; however, I ADORE him in this part. His facial expressions and body language are priceless..... "Ah, *beep* me!"

His role in "Big" is my favorite, though.

I love his line in the end, "F*%k him, he's trash". Excellent film.

I really like Loggia in this movie. Casting him in "Big" was an interesting choice. I believe it was one of his rare parts where he wasn't playing the "heavy" or a seedy character.
I love character actors-they're still plenty of good ones around but there aren't as many that have that rough-around-the edges quality that you saw in movies from the 1930's-70's.

He owns that character! An Officer and a Gentleman. And a great mini series Favourite Son. He plays Nick Mancuso and that character got his own series.

He's a great character actor, even if he mainly plays the gruff, cynical foul-mouth.

I was 12 when this movie came out so I didn't watch it until the 90's sometime and I remember liking it but not enough to watch it again. I have recently watched it a few more times and I like it so much more now that I'm older lol and Robert Loggia's character makes the movie for me. I know many people who talk like he does so it has me laughing the whole time. I've really grown to love the court room dramas now. My favorite is Presumed Innocent

I just watched this movie for the first time because of Loggia's passing away and he is great as always, but Big is still my favorite role of his.
