Great Movie (at that time)

Really enjoyed Jagged Edge when I watched it as it was released. It was a good thriller with a twist at the end.
Enjoyed Bridges and Close but watched it lately and it hasn't held up as I remembered.

So in essence, if you haven't seen it , it's a fair show now.

If you watched it when it was released, don't revisit it . Rather remember it as you remembered it back then.

It wasn't so brilliant even then.

SPOILERS

The smartest, most cunning murderer in North America concocts a diabolical plan that takes him over a year to pull off... the guy thinks of everything... he leaves nothing to chance...

AND HE LEAVES THE TYPEWRITER WHICH CAN SEND HIM TO THE ELECTRIC CHAIR ON THE TOP SHELF OF THE BEDROOM CLOSET??

Most great thrillers from "back in the day" are smarter and better than anything you'll see today -- but this wasn't one of them.

that is too funny about the typewriter - especially since it's like a 4-lb, 2-sq.-ft item which would point like a bullseye to his guilt. Maybe it would have been better if she'd saw the old typewriter in a picture. As it was, she might as well have found the bloody murder weapon.

I also love the building music after she locates the typewrite - since suspense is pretty much out the window. I mean did anyone see the typewriter and think it would actually exonerate him?

Much better than the rating here. I think it still holds up... 8/10
