Little Beige Toyota - Minor Spoilers

In the scene at Diana's brother's apartment, as her brother is leaving, his companion asks Ed if he drives a little beige toyota. When Ed gets back to the alley, he is told the police towed it. Does anyone think that perhaps something else happened to the car? It seems odd that the police would have found and towed the car so quickly that late at night. Did Diana's brother do something with it? Any ideas?

I'm not sure. Why would the homeless woman lie saying the police took it?

he knew because he looked out the window and saw it being towed away during the scene.

The tow-away by the police was just another example of the humour in the movie. Of course the police are not going to be able to get there and tow-away the car so quickly but remember that his story is fiction.

The homeless people are the local experts and they were ignored by Goldblum - serves him right. Ha ha!
