It is strange why they dont just arrange according to the rating on the star’o’meter.. That way they would spare us some time and irritation, when looking trough the cast. I mean, how many are looking for un-famous people anyway? Only themselves (the un-famous cast)..I guess.
But.. I suppose there is a reason for anything.. Im just having a bit of trouble finding the reason for this.
In this case, the cast is listed as the film has them, in order of appearance.

When closing credits are given according to the order of appearance, it doesn't matter how famous someone is.
If you, however, insist on your theory, then you claim that Elizabeth Solorzano is more important actress than Dan Aykroyd, David Cronenberg, John Landis, David Bowie, Colin Higgins, Vera Miles, Irene Papas... all of them listed after Elizabeth Solorzano, which, by the way, appeared few seconds in this and never before or later in any other movie.
Michelle Pfeiffer has been "well known" since Scarface which was done 2 years before this movie came out. Jeff Goldblum was noted for having done "The Big Chill" before this movie.
