So bad...it's good!

I've been a big fan of the Howling movies since I was a little kid when I was scared to death of them. I'd have nightmares and everything all because of these movies. Now that I watch them when I'm in my late 20's it makes me laugh at how ridiculous they are.

The acting in most of them is some of the worst I've ever seen, and that's saying something because I consider myself a huge fan of "B" horror movies from the 80's and 90's. I've read the first two Howling books and only the first one has anything to do with any of the films, which is funny in itself.

I'd have to say that Howling 5 is probably my favorite one. This 2nd one was just horrid, but like the others it had myself and friends doubled over in laughter. From the werewolf "orgies" to the Danning boobfest, it really is a classic "B" movie from the 80's. Like a bad car wreck, you just can't keep your eyes off of these dumb masterpieces.

I completely agree. I still think the Howling 1 and 2 are great movies with a great story, but I don’t take them too seriously. They both have flaws but I think that just adds to their charm.

The problem with horror fans today is that they think every horror movie should pretty dark and realistic. These movie are cheesy and fun and they can’t appreciate that.
