This was filmed at St. Michaels School on 4th Ave & 43rd Street in Sunset Park,Brooklyn. I know because I went there and the scenes are unmistakeable,from the classrooms to the Church and Courtyard.The only thing different is the statue of St.Basil. Did anyone else go to this school between 1945-1953.

I grew up across the street from the church and school, though. My parents were married there, and I was baptized there.

I did not. However......
I went to a Catholic school during the mid 60s to the early 70s. It was strict and the nuns could be quite abusive back when I first started there. Looking back, we did take part in similar stunts. We were also slapped around. Not as severely as what takes place in this film...
I do have to say that this movie is extremely funny. I haven't seen it in a number of years. It was great seeing it tonight.
Must have been Rough...I have heard crazy stories.
