Phone Number Cut Out on ABC Family

Watched this on ABC Family and when Helen Hunt gives away Sarah Jessica Parker's phone number to the guys they cut out the last 4 digits but still leave the prefix 555 in. I thought movies/TV shows used 555 prefix because it didn't exist in real life, so why the audio cut?

I noticed that too! I was like "Whattt??"

I wonder what that was all about.

The only thing I can think of is that in the movie Helen Hunt spells a nasty word like *beep* HAHA

I'm sure for privacy, they don't want anyone watching that movie to call that number.

It's hardly a secret in the UK, it's not beeped on the DVD and I think it's in the Empire Miscellany book.
