I did not see this movie until like 1996 and I had never heard of it b4. Usually movies with a song title are made to promote the song or vice versa but the song in the movie is not sung by Cyndi Lauper are the 2 even connected, which was released first?
shareThis is like 2 yrs late but the song came first (not by much timing). Most movies (mainly from the 80's) were lackless when it came to titles. But they were cleaver to use this title which had no connection to the song but they added the song since everyone were starting to relate it back to Cyndi Lauper and her video for the song. Ex...in the video version they show girls running around having fun. In the movie the three main ladies run around passing out invitations to Natalies party.
