New DVD cover (in UK)

I loved this movie when I was a teenager. I was in Woolworth's (I live in the UK) the other day, and I saw a DVD with an ADULT Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt on it. Did they just release the DVD, and does anyone know if they did the cover like that in the States? For a minute there, I thought they had teamed up to make a new movie!

I know that really confused me. I had never seen the film before and didn't realise it was made as long ago as it was because the cover showed them as sdults!

yeah i got really confused too!! i have this cover (UK), and when i looked at it i thought... hmmm... they dont look like this in the film!! also, in the DVD credits they have a Charmed promo for Shannen's picture!!

Slag off Shannen Doherty and you have me to deal with!! I <3 SD

Yeah think it was a bid to make the film look modern and not 80's y.
I knew it was an 80's film before I found it so I was shocked to see that cover.
I think they thought it would sell better with that picture- to make it look like "18 going on 30" or something like that.
Or maybe it was just lazy producing-maybe they couldnt be bothered taking screencaps or using the original cover art.

Ha, I bought this today for £1. The last person to post before posted last summer and it was cheap then. It must always be cheap. I don't like the front cover, it looks cheap and crappy. It was only £1 though. I find it funny that they used a picture of SJP on the back looking like a picture from SATC.

I bought it in Tesco for a pound.. i had never seen it or heard of it but i like SJP so i thought.. for a pound.. it's not a great loss if it's utter cr@p lol

As soon as i saw the disc i thought it looked cheap, not well done.. but then i watched the DVD and within seconds i knew it was 80's so i was wonder.. why is the DVD cover of them as they are now? (or at least the last decade) and why was the main menu some badly edited pictures of Helen Hunt, Sarah Jessica Parker and Shannen Doherty?

They must have just released it here, or rereleased it but i would have thought they'd actually make it more relevant to the film and the time it was made. Overall i'm not too keen on the DVD appearance etc but the DVD works fine so i shouldn't complain.

If you go on Ebay there is a big boom of this film for sale hehe Obviously everyone is buying it for £1 and selling it on for at least £3.50 including P&P

The picture on the back more than likely WAS a picture from Sex and the City, if you look at the picture of Shannen D on the main menu it's obviously a promo shot from Charmed.

I brought it the other day for £1, but I already knew what it was about. The cover did confuse me coz i knew it was from the 80s, and they didn't look like that then! But it was good =]
