I wish this generation would leave our stuff alone and get some original ideas instead of remaking our classics and favorite songs/movies/stories with people nobody (with any sense) cares about. Tired of this!!
It makes me mad, but I know I'll NEVER watch any of the remakes so...oh well.
Exactly!!! I hate that they are making remakes left and right... but making them about movies I loved as a kid makes it all the more of a personal insult.

Right there with you. I get so annoyed at the constant stream of remakes that are coming out.
And I was so so sad and annoyed to see that this is one of them.
Classic movies should be left alone. And if writers and directors these days cannot come up with an original concept of their own, then they shouldn't even be in the industry that they are in!

I agree. It's pathetic less and less original stuff is being made these days. What ever happened to creativity?

I refuse to watch remakes or sequels to moves that came out decades ago (think Herbie). They are making a remake of this, Footloose (huge, huge mistake) and they re-did Return To Witch Mountain and how many others? It's rediculous! The only movie I would watch a re-make of is Fame, but I never saw the first one so... I might have to rent it and compare. Girls Just Want to Have Fun is a timeless 80's classic I never get tired of watching!
