Reusing of backgrounds other 80s movies

Okay, I have a good eye for detail and I notice the small things in the background that just make the movie more wonderful and realistic.
Anyway, when I watched it again last night I realized something. They were using a few of the same background locations from some other big 80s movies.

In the scene where Janey and Jeff go dancing at the club "The Court" it's the same club from Pretty in Pink that Duckie and Andie go to, with Andrew Dice Clay out front.

There is also one scene that involves Janey walking through her kitchen and being startled by her dad and he asks why she dressed to go out when it's midnight. The kitchen that they use is the same for Say Anything. (I only know that because it's one of my favorite movies)

Just wondering if anyone else noticed these or any others.

Harry:"Well yeah, there was like an 8% chance."
Perry: "Eight? Who taught you math!?"

Haha yeah! I was thinking that house that Jeff lives in looks an aweful lot like the house in The Outsiders that the greasers live in.

For a lot of movies/tv shows in 80's or 90's I am sure that does or did occur. I cant think of anything off hand for this movie but I did make a post months ago about how the tv shows Family Matter, Full House, and Step by Step were all using same sound stage. So you would see a familiar prop going from one show into another. Example is a teddy bear that Step (Full House) owns being shown in Family Matter (the daughters room).

Good eye! That's funny that you noticed the backgrounds/sets reused. I'm sure that they were counting on audiences not noticing!
