Vaguely Prurient Interest and horrible "80's rock music"

There are several crotch shots of the girls (I won't point them out) particularly
when wearing the school uniform. This was done in "The World of Henry Orient" and it came out years later that the director of that movie hit on Tippy Walker (who really was only 14-15 at the time) and messed her up emotionally. This type of shot involving children (which the actresses are supposed to be) has no business being in any movie as it is child sex abuse.

The WORST thing about the movie was the "hip music" that was used. You know, the kind that is made up to vaguely sound like rock music but is nauseating (and probably used because the producers did not want to pay to use real 80's music hits which were really great).

This entire plot about two girls trying to get on a dance show and one succeeding, with a handsome fella as the "prize" and a rich girl as the villain", was the basis of the John Waters movie "Hairspray" in 1988; I wonder if John paid the writers of this movie anything?

This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!

I don't think it was intentional. The camera may have caught it by accident or used as humor.

The girls weren't there movie ages at the time either.

Goldie was in her twenties. Only Jessica was fifteen.
