What's not to love about this movie? :)

I'm surprised it wasn't more well known back then. I've never even heard of it until I discovered it on Hulu just the other day.

I laughed more than I thought I would have. Sara Jessica Parker was so adorable. I also loved the characters (especially Helen Hunt & Shannen Doherty) Helen Hunt's character = that one class clown we all went to school with. Shannen Doherty's character - the mouthy little tagalong, reminded me of my younger sis growing up.

Also, certain scenes took it all the way up to Animal House levels in terms of comedy.

If you were a teen in the 1980s & haven't seen this movie and are looking for a nice good laugh, I highly recommend it.

Very cute movie. Check it out if you haven't. 

tons of to-be-famous people/famous people appear in it.

The costuming is hilarious. The mom of the female lead looks like something from a 1950's sitcom. If the dad is so uptight and rigid, there is no way he'd love M*A*S*H* reruns, because the show had protested the folly of the Vietnam War.
