Ugh, that Vampire girl is AWFUL

the makeup is really quite amazingly designed. I read up that they wanted that creature effect for "Ghostbusters", but it was deemed "too scary" for a comedy horror picture. so it ended up in this film, "Fright Night", a comedy horror picture. Nice! had I seen this movie as a little kid, I really don't think I ever would have recovered. the water-ghouls in "Creepshow" nearly ended me. I was about 10 or so, and still to this day remember my dread at night on those things. (I was, and am, an emotional little guy.)

my question is, why does her hair grow 2-3 times its length when she becomes a vampire and then go back to the short "bob" cut when she's cured at the end?

unless they were just so curly that being a vampire straightened them to crazy lengths? lol

I was just about to post the same question.

i watched the extras after posting that comment and its actually answered in a q&a...well sorta. the director comments on the fact that happens but it seems there's no real particular reason. it was just their way of showing "she's a vampire now", so i guess it was some side effect for this movie.

makes you wonder if Gerry was bald when he was a human. :P
