I dunno where someone stated Jerry tried to fake out Charley with the holy water, but that's total b.s. - unless it was an early draft of the script. An early draft did surface on eBay last year that concluded with Peter transforming into a vampire on TV, but the scene was revised prior to shooting.

There are very few deviations from the screenplay dated September 1984 and the final cut of the movie. The cast began two weeks of rehearsals in late November in which they fine-tuned things. Some dialogue was dropped (like all of Jerry's when he enters the bedroom to seduce Amy), and a few additions were made, such as the apple-munching and portrait of Amy (both suggested by Chris Sarandon) but overall, the script is pretty damned close to the film. Most of the edits are in and around the club sequence. You can see for yourself...

On PDF page 29 (ignore the script page numbering), there's a brief additional scene after Charley leaves Jerry and Mrs. Brewster in which he calls Evil Ed to declare "my idiot mother just invited him over for a drink!"

On page 51, Evil Ed and Amy return to Charley's house to tell him that Peter Vincent's agreed to help.

On page 64, there's a little bit of dialogue that was omitted after Peter speeds away from Jerry's house. This must've been dropped during rehearsals.

On page 71, there's a scene in which Charley and Amy stop briefly on a bridge after being pursued by Jerry (if this was shot, there's no question it would've interrupted the flow of the chase sequence). This is followed by a deleted exchange with the bouncers as Charley and Amy are trying to cut into line at the club that ties into their appearance on the dance floor.

On page 77, there's some dialogue that wasn't filmed with Charley and Amy in the club (the scene plays out in a single shot).

On page 78 there's a brief scene outside the club in which Jerry is "cross" at Evil Ed. (Pun intended.) This is perhaps the most interesting deleted scene and it's less than half a page.

Pages 81-82 are Charley searching the sea of people at the club for Amy. Would've interrupted the seduction dance, but there's an amusing throwaway gag.

Other than the occasional deviation in dialogue (I went through this at a glance), that's about all of the differences.
