If you missed out on Twilight Times 30th Anniversary edition Blu Ray...

I was hoping to nab a limited edition copy for myself but had no idea when the pre order date was and I was so busy around new years I completely forgot about it. As you may have heard all 5000 copies of the limited edition Blu Ray for Fright Night sold within 2 hours of the listing. I even heard Twilight Times website crashed because the servers were flooded with people trying to order a copy.

So for those of us that missed out on this golden opportunity, there are still a few options left to get a copy. There are numerous listings on ebay from the lucky ones who bought a copy just so they could sell it for 3X's what its worth and make a nice profit. (Not a bad idea) You can check all the listings here:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=fright+night+30th&_from=R40&a mp;_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0 .Xfright+night+30th+anniversary+edition&_nkw=fright+night+30th+ann iversary+edition&_sacat=0

The cheapest one I found to bid on was currently at $33.20 and the rest are all ranging from $41-$125. There's even one listed for $1000 if you don't get one of the other deals and are that desperate to own a copy.

Follow this link and you can buy this copy immediately for $97.95:

Lastly the only option you have left if you just don't have the extra cash to dish out on a blu ray movie (Don't blame you I can't either) you can do what I just did and buy a copy that was produced in another country.

It won't be the limited edition mind you, but it still gives you a chance to own Fright Night on blu ray which is now out of print everywhere once again and who knows when they'll re-release it; could be years. I found two listings on ebay to buy a standard blu ray copy brand new from Australia and their both in english and region free, meaning they will play on any blu ray player!

This one is up for bid:

Buy this one now for US $10.49 however it may not ship to the US but you can always contact the seller and ask about that. They will usually do it as long as you pay the shipping cost:

Here is a German copy that is also region free and has english audio that is located in the US for $19.95 (Buy it Now):

Hope this was helpful for those out there still searching. I may not have gotten a limited edition copy with all the special features but I'm just glad to own a standard blu ray copy at this point.

I'm curious as to why Fright Night is so highly sought after on Blu-ray -- it's a terrific movie, of course, but other films that are just as popular haven't sold out so quickly via Screen Archives Entertainment. The Sinbad films done the same -- still, the European Blu-ray of Fright Night matches the Twilight Time release. Plus, it's cheaper and also region free.

NOW TARZAN MAKE WAR!

Because it's a horror title. Horror fans are pretty passionate collectors, and thus horror movies sell more than other genres.

Horror fans can be pretty geeky and are never satisfied. Even with the new SE you have fans complaining about minor issues with the picture quality. Seriously, the obsessive fans with no lives are quite an embarrassment.

I was busy, didn't have the money for it and procrastinated too long - placed an order a few hours after the damned thing sold out (which I had to wait three weeks to find out they'd canceled, thus tying up funds I could've really used). These stupid limited editions of popular movies are just a way to screw over fans and put ridiculous profits into resellers pockets. All I want is for someone to put the friggin' vintage EPK featurette online -- all of the other special features are freely available on the net.
