Good list. Esp like your #1 and #2 !
Being a fan of crappy 80's horror movies, i would add Halloween III: Season Of The Witch. I know some people think it's sacrilege to like this movie, but i just do. And it's all about my favorite day of the year - October 31!

I think 'Halloween III' is actually a very fine and ideal choice for watching on Halloween Night!

Thank you. Halloween III is ok but it never gelled with me but I don't deny it was creative and it has it's fanbase somewhere.

1. Halloween 1(1978) and 2(1981) - Sorry but I just have to put them both together in the same spot. Is this
cheating I wonder?

2. Horror of Dracula(1958) - The 1931 version is also a very ideal choice as well, but I think the 1958 version is
overall the better film of the two.

3. The House That Dripped Blood(1971)

4. Dead of Night(1945)

5. Night of The Living Dead(1968)

6. The Fearless Vampire Killers(1967)

7. The Evil Dead(1981)

8. Phantasm(1979)

9. Nosferatu(1922)

10. Night of The Demon(1957)

No. I say if you have a film series where all (or just some of) the entries work so well off of each other that you can't imagine one without the other then it counts as one choice. I see The Dark Knight Trilogy as one long movie and many greatest film lists you'll see The Lord of the Rings Trilogy as one choice.

2). Halloween 1-3 (1978-1982)
3). The Howling & American Werewolf in London (1981)
4). Fright Night (1985)
5). The Hills Have Eyes (2006)
6). 30 Days of Night (2007)
7). 1408 (2007)
8). The Strangers (2008)
9). Friday the 13th (1980)
10). The Living Dead Series (1968-2007) originals and remakes (save for Day of the Dead 2008)

Honorable mentions: The Wicker Man (1973), The Thing (1982), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), The Evil Dead trilogy (1981-1992), Hellraiser trilogy 1987-1992.

Excellent movie choices! Especially with the nod to The Wicker Man, very creepy, dark movie. My top 10 are as follows (in no particular order):

2. One Dark Night
3. Death Dream
4. Black Christmas
5. Fright Night
6. Phantasm
7. Halloween 1 & 2
8. Creepshow
9. Tourist Trap
10. Invasion of the Body Snatchers
