Fright Night Vs Salem's Lot (1979)

The finale is reminiscent of Tobe Hooper's, superior vampire flick, Salem's Lot, specifically the scene where Vincent shoots Billy Cole as he approaches Charlie and Peter on the stair well. I guess that's where the similarities end since Straker didn't turn in to pea soup...:)

Salem's Lot is better, plus Fright Night was influenced by it as well, I read. Just look at the stairs in the middle of the floor.

I read they used the same stairway set.
