The poster was scary for its time

Just saying.

Guess there really are people who act worse than 12 year olds.

It was and still is a great looking movie poster, for it's time or any other!

"Life IS pain highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something".

It's still creepy even by today's standards! Awesome poster for sure.

I am not saying it is a bad poster, it is just that back then; such posters had this "morbid horror" flavor that seems to have been lost due to "professionalism."

I recall a friend and I walked past a Philly theater and saw the poster, and being fans of Salem's Lot, we decided to check this film out. The poster worked back in the summer of 1985.

Especially since "today's standards" are often just the faces of actors imposed over some dull background.
