is it just me, or does anyone else laugh when they watch this movie? i mean, there are a few parts that i just laugh at. the acting is so strange in this movie. im not saying its bad, its just different. the characters are funny though. i can see how its more of a drama than a comedy, but i was just wondering if anyone else thought that some of this movie was funny??

There are action/drama movies that make you laugh here and there. Not this one. I never laughed once.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit to find some black laughs in there. Verhoeven said elsehwere he's occasionally surprised that audiences don't find his stuff funnier.

I *love* this movie - and not because I think it's a great movie. It is one of the most awesomely bad movies I've ever seen and I never tire of watching it.
