no the best part was when they discovered Agnes and they decided to split her. I must admit her facial reactions were amazing. I was tranced by what was occurring before my very eyes. I hope you think the same way.
Mah Schlomcha/Schlomech? I left my conscience like a crying child.
I think it was David Cronenberg on the "Existenz" DVD who said "JJL doesn't have a character or personality unless she plays one. She's much like a female Daniel Day Lewis that way.".
Boy, It's got I didn't meet her when they where shooting "Single White Female". ;->
For me, the best part was Martin Climbing out of the burning Castle and escaping - I didnt see that one coming. One can only guess as to what adventures, or indeed misadventures , transpired after he escaped.

Yap. That was the kicker of the movie back then. When I first saw it in the theater back then, I thought to myself "please - no happy-dead-baddie-hollywood-crap-ending!" and it was like that! And that was just great!!
Typicale Verhoeven. He always has to give Hollywood one in the side to punish them for the formalistic crap they turn out.

Would be cool to see. -- "I used to be Tommy Verceti, now I'm Phil Cassidy."
Lots of favorite moments from the movie. But I was always wondering about one scene. Could Steven really survive the lightning strike? It hit right into the tree and passed the electricity through the chains he was bound by. He had quite a jiggle there. I think it would've burnt him to a crisp. That's probably the least beliavable point in the movie, it made Steven superhuman. Taking that prior to that he had survived being pierced by arrows through palm of his hand and a leg. He could've died just from bleeding there. And then survives lightning. Well, that was quite surprising, unexpected for me the first time. But I love it. :)

Thats called supsension of disbelief. His love for Agnes just armored him and made him superhuman for a period of time. ;-} -- "I used to be Tommy Verceti, now I'm Phil Cassidy."
