Historical Accuracy
I'm really getting tired of people going on and on and on about historical accuracy...
NOT EVERY MOVIE IS INTENDED TO BE HISTORICALLY ACCURATE!!!
This one made little or no effort to be... its was simply an adventure flick set in a general time period... the era chosen was just to give it a little more adventure...
they could have easily picked something contemporar, but it would not have had that swashbuckling adventure thing going for it...
they could have set this in the 1940 with a WW2 as the dackdrop, or 1990, with a farm house in upstate NY as the the scene (think Dustin Hoffman and family being terrorised by hoodlums, but instead of the man of the house overcoming the enemy, the police come to the rescue)...
every movie is given a time frame in which it takes place... some are intended to prortray a particular even t or era as realistically as possible... but MOST simply use historical backdrops to add a littel interest to an otherwise generic story...
people, PLEASE let this go!!!
