Why did Rollie Tyler leave Andy on the street and drive off?

After Rollie Tyler steals back his impounded van with his assistant Andy, Andy was very useful in warding off the pursuing vehicles in the vehicle chase through Lower Manhattan. But as soon as they escaped all the pursuing vehicles, Tyler was rather mean and cruel to then suddenly pretend that something was wrong with the van and tricked her from getting her out of the van and then quickly driving off.

Do you think that was very mean and nasty to leave her out on the street like that? Why did Tyler just leave her like that in a middle of nowhere and suddenly drive off? At least drive her home or drop her off at a safe place and say goodbye.

On another note, with his girlfriend Ellen now dead, Andy could have been his new girlfriend but by treating her like that, there's no way the two of them would develop a relationship.

Well I wouldn't say it was mean/cruel, he knew going up against Mason's goons that it was going to be extremely dangerous (point in fact his girlfriend was killed by one) so it was more about protecting her from the forthcoming danger. He faked the tyre issue to get her out of the van as he knew she would not do so willingly (like the leave it with the doorman part earlier, did she?, no she stayed with the doorman albeit asleep).

As far as helping him, he knew he'd have to be be completely on point to beat Mason's goons and security and Andy wasn't up to task (such as using the wrong smoke pods, she almost blew up the yard!!!).

As for her being a replacement girlfriend, I doubt he would have gone there, she was more like a naive kid sister.
