If that post was legitimate, and what you're saying is; there are a lot of scenes from Explorers that haven't made it to DVD, then you're right. However, Joe Dante says that those scenes are lost and probably won't be seen again.

You're right, anything is possible. But the studio isn't interested in the film, so even if they found them they wouldn't release a special edition. Most of the cut stuff was incomplete footage. Besides, 'Event Horizon' was much more recent, and Explorers has never been shipped anywhere in any other format than the one we've seen. The footage may still be out there to be found (I pray for that), but the likelihood of anyone doing anything with it is slim to none. Still... keep believing!
