Is this a Prequel to Blade Runner?

Here is a dumb post! I watched Enemy Mine and found it to be a great sci-fi movie. Good production values, some great space battles and sets and great performances by Dennis Quaid and Lou Gossett Jr.

I couldn't help but think that Brion James was redoing his Leon character from Blade Runner...was this an off-world colony in the making? and were Replicants responsible for doing human dirty work by herding Dreks...haha riduculous but there are some similarities aren't there?

No is not prequel, is cheesy sci-fi movie that is good cause it's so corny.

"Teh" is simple "teh" best typo ever.

plus the brion james character died in this so how could it be a prequel? other than that you have an interesting concept going i guess.

The replicants are copies of human templates, why make just one copy?

This can't be a prequel because Blade Runner is set early in the 21st century and Enemy Mine is set in either the late 21st century or the early 22nd.

Hmm... neat. Well, I honestly don't see the connection... If anything Blade Runner is about alienation while Enemy Mine is about overcoming differences.
