really miss good movies like this today

with enemy mine you have a good example of how good movies in general used to be in a sense of atmosphere, settings, production and all that.
Today is missing alot of that (atmosphere especially) and the style of how a movie is shot technically is just too "synthetic" or too cleaned up these days and the way a story is told is almost not there, movies are missing heart+soul these days, Here you have pretty much a good old adventure storie told in a scifi setting. and i like both scifi and adventure etc


hey maybe super 8 is gonna go in the direction of how it used to be, spielberg sometimes tries to capture the old spirit, like eg for indiana jones he didnt shoot digital used old fashioned cameras and i heard no cgi, thats a good start. i only watch 1 or 2 new movies a year cause they are mostly sadly only annoying anymore- but super 8 looks promising enough so i will watch that
