That space battle and the acting was VERY bad. Even for 1985. So far his encounter with Drak has been very slapstick and hammy. The music doesn't help.
The entire Drak learning English thing is absolutely horrible.
Okay, back to the movie.
The early space battle effects does look a little cheesy.
Its that man again!!
They had shot a lot of film with the first director. I'm sure they didn't spend much on beginning since they were over budget and it really isn't that important to the real story once they got to the planet. My question is what rock did they find Lance Kerwin under at that time to be in this film. Seemed like odd casting.
