The Emerald Forest Diary: A Filmaker's Odyssey by John Boorman
Maybe this book is why he never did a commentary or interview for the blu-ray as he did for most of his other classics. A really interesting read, especially his struggle to get financing, scouting the locations and the casting of his son as a lead. Very affordable and definitely recommended for fans of the film:
