One of the most underated films ever made!

Yeah this is a good movie, but the scene of the dam blowing up was pretty cheesy. Also, while I enjoyed checking out the topless native girls, they all looked like models - not like the native girls you see in most documentaries. Therefore the toplessness is not totally innocent and casual. The escape from the brothel didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the film to me either, with the shooting and violence. But having said these things, I repeat that this is a good, entertaining movie, but not the most underrated movie of all time.

I just revisited this old favorite after the scene in Avatar where we first get a glimpse of Neytiri clinging to a plant-encrusted branch hidden from Sully reminded me of the great camouflage of the Invisible People. I'd forgotten how many other similarities there were too, like the powerful ecological message, and how even one of the 'evil' white men finally sides with the natives. Yeah, I agree about this film never having received the credit it deserves.

Without question, an under-appreciated film.
