Demon's Blu-Ray Arrow Edition

Very disappointed to see Arrow has taken control of the bluray release instead of Anchor Bay. Do they really expect all of us American consumers to go out and buy region free BluRay players just to view this film?

What a joke, This arrow release is just a glorified boot-leg if you ask me. Are there even any special features on this thing? What's the Audio/picture quality like?

Thanks A lot Anchor Bay!

They have not taken control of it. They released in the UK, where they have the rights to it. Anchor Bay have the rights to in the US. Also, not at all a bootleg. It is as legit and offical as you can get. So, either get a region free player or be patient to wait for Anchor Bay to release it. Whenver that may be.

The licensor asked Arrow to region lock it to B. So, they had to do it or they couldn't release it.

The extras are not exactly good. Infact truth be told they are below average at best. You get a couple of scummy things on the discs and a few audio tracks (director commentary etc). But they have been recorded using 1942 microphones and other equipment. THAT'S HOW BAD THE AUDIO IS for the commentary tracks on both Demons movies. The picture is good but it's not as good as the likes of Dawn of the Dead's blu ray picture. I didn't think it was anyway. IMHO both Demons movies could have and should have been given a whole lot more respect which would have given the two movies better treatment. And an overall better purchase for the buyer. There is no deleted scenes and no interviews with George and Cheryl or Tony the Pimp. It's just going to be casual buyers or diehard Demons fans (Demoniacs) that buy the BR copies. If you own the movies on DVD stick with them for the time being.

The Arrow BDs look fantastic IMO, much better than the re-mastered AB DVDs (I know, I have both). The extras are good too, as is the packaging (slipcase & steelbook). If you call yourself a fan of Demons 1 & 2, you definitely need the Arrow editions in your collection.

It has the best audio and video quality we've seen on home video, and that's really all that matters.
